Latest Updates from Our Project:

Of Crashes and Computers
over 4 years ago – Tue, Nov 26, 2019 at 12:32:58 AM

Hello everyone!

As the title might suggest, we're recovering from my computer crashing hard enough to need a replacement.  This was a troublesome time sink, but shipping is proceeding.  Some of you already have your meeples, some are on the way, and we're working on the rest.  My apologies for the annoyingly unavoidable delay, but we're still planning on getting everything out in the next two weeks, one week if possible.

There are a couple of you who I've sent messages to who have not yet answered, so if you're curious about your order, please check there.  We're a bit more than halfway through, and getting into the smaller, easier to process orders.

Thank you again!

Final Check, Packing Up, Shipping Out
over 4 years ago – Mon, Oct 28, 2019 at 10:38:02 PM

Hello everyone!

The meeple production run arrived at my office, and we're working to make sure we have the most accurate data before we pack these up and send them out.  If you haven't answered a survey yet, please do, and if you need to update your shipping address, please do.  If either BackerKit or Kickstarter doesn't let you for any reason, please let us know in private messages and we'll make sure we send your goods to the right place.

Thanks again!

Tesh

...and yes, I'm using Kool-Aid boxes to organize these. My shelves and proper sorting boxes are full of the leftovers from the other campaigns, so this is the best I can do at the moment.  It's colorful at least!  The little dice collection at the bottom there is part of a project we're working on with the Daft Concepts guys; maybe we'll get to talk more about that one of these days soon.

Order Placed, Hurry Up And Wait
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 04, 2019 at 04:31:12 PM

Hello everyone!

We placed the production order and turned the Preorder system off over on BackerKit.  You can still change your address if you need to, but otherwise, we are just in "hurry up and wait" mode while the factory works on the meeples.  They estimated that we should see them here at our office close to the end of October in about 4 weeks from today, which is about what we expected.

Once the meeples get here, we'll pack them up as quickly and accurately as we can, and send them out in "Non-US first, largest first" order.  In practice, with about 90 orders to process, that probably only means about a week of shipping stuff out, and if that changes, we will let you know as soon as we can.

Thank you again, everyone!

Surveys and Production
over 4 years ago – Sat, Sep 14, 2019 at 10:06:22 PM

Hello everyone!

We have almost everyone's survey answers, thank you!  If you haven't answered your survey yet, please do, and if somehow you were dropped from the project automatically after the close (usually due to a credit card processing problem), you can jump in again over on BackerKit.  As a reminder, if you've answered either the Kickstarter or BackerKit survey, we will have what we need, and BackerKit is completely optional.

We do still have the BackerKit Preorder site running for a few more days at least.  I'm planning on closing it off next week and collating all the numbers so we can place the production order Friday.  It will be good to get these rolling.

If you know of anyone else who may be interested, please let them know!  We've made all of our previous project leftovers available, as well as the all-new Goblin Brain dice that we made on the side as a sort of audition for a different plastic goods factory.

Tinker Bits: Trouble on the Tracks

Other than that, we don't have a lot of news.  We'll let you know when we hear from the factory on a ship date for the goods, and we'll process them as fast as we can once we have them here at my office.

Thank you again, everyone!

Surveys Sent... mostly, Preorder Shop open, Thank you!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Sep 04, 2019 at 08:05:51 PM

Hello everyone!

The Kickstarter surveys have gone out, thank you for answering them; the sooner we know what we're ordering, the sooner we can get them made.  Some of the BackerKit surveys have gone out, the rest will go out tonight in about 8 hours.  (They have a "smoke test" system that sends some first to see if anyone has problems with the system, so please let us know if something blows up and we'll handle it.)  As noted before, if you don't want any Add On items, you can safely ignore BackerKit, but the Kickstarter system will keep bugging you to answer the survey, we're sorry about that.  BackerKit is a great way to sort out what Add On items you're getting, which is why we use it, but it's not required if you don't want to use their system.  You can let us know about your Add On items in your Kickstarter survey's open ended question.

There *is* a charge that will show up over on BackerKit if you pick up enough weight in Add On items; 64 ounces will trigger an automatic additional $5 shipping fee since heavier packages mean more cost.  This is something I set up over there, so if you have questions or concerns if it does trigger for you, please let me know.  Shipping is sometimes the trickiest part of these campaigns, especially shipping overseas, but I'm always happy to answer questions in private messages so we can sort out anything that comes up.

Thank you again, everyone!  If you do know of anyone who might be interested, please let them know that we're still taking orders through the BackerKit system over here:

Tinker Bits IV: Trouble on the Tracks

...but please note that limited quantity Add On items are first come, first serve (none of the Train theme Bits are limited this way, just the leftovers from previous campaigns), and we will only have the BackerKit shop open for about 2.5 weeks so we can sort out our production order and get things moving.

Thank you!
